Founded in 2012, we have, over the last 9+ years quickly evolved our operations and servicing capacity. Having focused on expanding our operations to drive business growth in Nigeria.

GML understands the impact the deficit between the supply and demand of power across Nigeria and the impact that adequate demand will have on Nigeria’s economy . Our priority is to unlock Africa’s economic potential through gas optimization, starting first on home soil, here in Nigeria.

We are driven by our mission to fuel Nigeria’s development by optimizing the gas value chain and promoting the increased use of natural gas as a cheaper, cleaner and more reliable source of fuel for industry and commerce.

Our first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) mother station in Abeokuta, Nigeria. No.1 in Nigeria.

GML aims to set the standard and become the industry benchmark for quality and affordable service delivery and reliability in the sale and distribution of Natural Gas in Nigeria , thus becoming a partner of choice, uniquely positioned to be able to guarantee supply assurance wherever demand exists in Nigeria . With our own fleet and our newly commissioned CNG plant, we are well on our way to achieving the goals we have set​.

LEKAN F. ADEKEYE

Group, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Lekan Adekeye is a seasoned and versatile senior executive with over 20 years’ experience and a rich background in corporate management. His career and extensive experience spans Oil & Gas, FMCG, and FinTech sectors, where he served in corporate leadership roles including Managing Director, Deputy MD, Project Director, General Manager, Head of function – Strategy & Planning, Human Capital Management, Business Development, and Business Solutions, in organisations operating in Nigeria, Ghana and United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Viathan, Lekan was Chief Operating Officer at Duport Midstream Company Ltd (Nigeria), where he spearheaded condensate supply and trading operation, and led a multi-million dollar energy infrastructure development project comprised of a Refinery, Gas Processing Plant, Storage Tanks, Power Plant and CNG Plant. He served other organizations in Nigeria – Guinness Nigeria Plc, Oando Plc, and Gas Terminalling Ltd; in Ghana – UBI Group and Ebony Oil & Gas; and in the UK – HSBC, Citi Group and Vocalink (formerly BACS UK).
Lekan holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria; an M.Sc. in Business Systems Analysis & Design from City University, United Kingdom; and is an alumnus of London Business School, United Kingdom, where he attended an Executive Programme in Corporate Finance. His commitment to human capital development, ethical governance, and ESG philosophy underscores his rounded leadership disposition.
